Stratford upon Avon


Famous for being the birth place of William Shakespeare Stratford upon Avon is a medieval market town in Warwickshire.

The town has an abundance of timber framed black and white properties particularly in High Street, Henley Street, Chapel Street and Old Town. Some of these are directly connected to Shakespeare especially New Place in Chapel Street and Hall’s Croft which is in the street called Old Town. Other timber framed buildings of note include Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and TudorWorld, a Tudor Museum set in a beautiful Tudor house with interactive exhibits.
